Thesis Requirements Engineering
The degree of Master of Science (M.S.) is conferred for graduate work of which the major portion has been done in agriculture, educational statistics and research methods, engineering, kinesiology, health science, counseling, rehabilitation, human environmental sciences, biological and physical sciences, statistics, operations management, and communication disorders. For general degree requirements, see the Master's Degrees tab above.
Master Thesis Requirements Engineering
Abstract: The aim of our research is to investigatewhether a requirements engineer can actively influence the maintainabilityof an Information System(IS), and if so, to what extent and throughwhich mechanisms. We will call these mechanisms `maintainabilityfactors'. Our approach is of a highly empirical nature and canbe divided up in two phases. In the first phase, a list of potentialmaintainability factors is constructed. This list is based bothon literature and experiments generating alternative correct conceptualmodels for a set of requirements. In the second and most importantphase, experiments are used to evaluate to which degree each factorinfluences maintainability. Ideally, the results of these experimentswill enable us to formulate guidelines on how the requirementsengineer can `build' maintainability into a future IS.
NMSU’s Mechanical Engineering (ME) department has been educating mechanical engineers since the university opened in 1888. Beginning in Fall 2006, the ME Department expanded to include an undergraduate degree program in Aerospace Engineering (AE), the first and the only Aerospace program in New Mexico and west Texas, to form the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) department.

Following the completion of the proposed research, a documenting the research is required. The doctoral thesis should be a report of the work done, its relation to previous work in the area, and the conclusions drawn from the results. The thesis should include a section describing how the student's research has contributed to the body of knowledge in electrical and computer engineering.

Since 1912, Georgia Tech has offered an Undergraduate Cooperative Program to those students who wish to combine career-related experience with classroom studies. Students alternate between industrial assignments and classroom studies until they complete three semesters of work. Co-op students with mechanical engineering majors complete the same coursework on campus that is completed by non-co-op students. Most co-op students begin the program as sophomores or juniors and are classified as full-time students regardless of whether they are attending classes on campus or are full-time at an employer's location. Co-op employment opportunities exist across the USA, and even in foreign countries. Depending on the chosen country, proficiency in a foreign language is usually necessary. Mechanical engineering students have worked in countries such as Germany, China, and Japan.

Mechanical Engineering majors may choose to participate in the Georgia Tech International Plan. Students who complete the requirements of the International Plan have the degree designation noted on their transcripts and on their diploma. The International Plan has specific requirements which must be completed including:
