Nitrogen dioxide is the chemical compound with the formula NO 2
How do we process the results from catalysed experiments? These revision notes are suitable for GCSE IGCSE O Level KS4 science chemistry students studying the effects of catalysts and how they work.
It is one of several nitrogen oxides
In addition to carbon dioxide, other important greenhouse gases include water vapor, methane, nitrous oxide, and sulfur hexafluoride. Water vapor, the most abundant of the greenhouse gases, is simply aerosolized water. Scientists are more concerned with the other gases because human activities are largely responsible for their increase, which means we have some ability to control their levels.
A dependence of the NO content on the quality of the reagents used for the generation of nitrogen dioxide (HNO3 and copper powder) cannot be excluded
