Effect of colour of light on the rate of photosynthesis

They both used different color as there variable to determine the rate of photosynthesis.

Color & Light Effects on Photosynthesis | Hunker

Our results show that different color lights definitely does have a strong direct correlation with the rate of photosynthesis/growth of a plant.
Absorption spectra showing how the different side chains in chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b result in slightly different absorptions of visible light.

Expirement #2In this experiment they tested which color (red, blue, green) would influence the plant to produce the most amount of photosynthesis.

Affect of Different Colored Lights on Photosynthesis

Therefor, the faster the rate of photosynthesis, the faster the leaves rises.
There are five matters that affect the rate of photosynthesis: light intensity, temperature, CO2, water, and the color of light in general.

The transfer of electrons during the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis reduce DPIP, changing it from light blue to colorless....

Our experiment tested which color (red, blue, green) would influence the plant to produce the most amount of photosynthesis. There are four main photosynthetic pigments found in the chloroplast of the plant called chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, xanthophylls, and carotenes. All these pigments absorb light and possibly utilize the light energy in photosynthesis. Light energy is essential for photosynthesis. An initial experiment showed that all the pigments at peak absorbance showed violet/blue light at the highest level, orange/red light as the second highest, and yellow/green having the lowest level of absorption. We hypothesized that photosynthesis was affected by the light absorption rate.

it actually uses only convinced colours to make photosynthesis ensue

The plant responded to the different colored light as follows: The rate of photosynthesis was the most successful in white light, and more successful in red and blue lighting, than in green and yellow lighting systems.

Photosynthesis takes place within cells (the building blocks of all living things), or, more specifically, the chloroplasts. Chloroplasts are tiny structures inside cells which hold a green pigment -- the reason why leaves are green.
In order for a chloroplast to create energy for a plant, the plant must be under light. When we see colours, what we really see is that specific colour 'bouncing' back to us because it cannot be absorbed by the object we are looking at. Because the leaves absorb every other colour but green, green light will slow photosynthesis down.
Carbon dioxide is also needed to create energy inside of the leaves. If the carbon dioxide level is low, the production of oxygen will slow down.
For this lab, the independent variables you can manipulate are the light, the light colour and the amount of carbon dioxide immersed in the water. The dependent variable is how much oxygen (bubbles) is produced.

Effect of color on photosynthesis rate - SlideShare

Therefore the spectrophotometers shall measure how much transmittance (or how much photosynthesis has occurred)

These readings should be recorded and then they should be placed in their respective colored sleeves: blue, red, green, and clear.

How does a plant with a purple colour do photosynthesis?

The color to have the least
photosynthetic rate will be green as although it has quiet a short
wavelength so a lot of energy it will be reflected by the plant and
not absorbed.
